Midnight....Check, Madness......Check, Check

So Lexi Syd and I headed out for some Harry Potter midnight madness. We went to Borders which was apparently a rookie mistake. We thought if we got there a bit after midnight that the lines would die down. But no such luck. In fact we were stuck in borders with apparently non air conditioning and approximately 3000 of our fellow Harry lovers.

On the way down to Borders Lexi noticed that there was a bit of a line at Smith's (yes that's right the grocery store). Since we had been at Borders about 2 hours with no book in sight she decided to take a field trip over there to see whether we could score a couple books. She waltzed right in and in fact that is where we ended up purchasing from.

Side note: I stayed up until 4:30 last night reading Harry. I finished this afternoon. I cried at least 4 times and feel very, very satisfied with the final installment.

I love when a book does that to me.
I went to the "not so great" N Baton Rouge to pick L up. We had a little "event".

I'll tell you alllll about it later.

I'm about half way through it right now. So far I'm loving it. However, what I'm not loving is that Quinn has read the entire plot online at wikipedia and is threatening to spoil everything.

I'm with Quinn on this one…I can spill the beans to anyone that wants to hear how it ends.

Still need to set your clock setting…so that the posting times are correct.

Awww such a bummer, we didn't see you at Borders. We were there for close to 5 hours! :o) Fun stuff!

Nice to hear you're back with Condie's. Sure hope all is going well with you and your family.

Marc's with Jeff in Telluride doing some work for the designer up there. At least she's giving them tons of work to do!

Take care and have fun with life and Harry Potter! LOL

Love ya Lindsay!

It's too bad there isn't another HP book coming up, because BOY do I have a scoop for you...Deseret Book's midnight madness was really more like midnight mildness. I strolled out of the house at about 12:05 a.m., drove to the DB in East Bay, walked in, waited behind about six people, and was home with my copy of HP7 my 12:20.

In related news, I too loved the book, although I read it much slower than our super-human friend Lindsay.
