Midnight....Check, Madness......Check, Check

So Lexi Syd and I headed out for some Harry Potter midnight madness. We went to Borders which was apparently a rookie mistake. We thought if we got there a bit after midnight that the lines would die down. But no such luck. In fact we were stuck in borders with apparently non air conditioning and approximately 3000 of our fellow Harry lovers.

On the way down to Borders Lexi noticed that there was a bit of a line at Smith's (yes that's right the grocery store). Since we had been at Borders about 2 hours with no book in sight she decided to take a field trip over there to see whether we could score a couple books. She waltzed right in and in fact that is where we ended up purchasing from.

Side note: I stayed up until 4:30 last night reading Harry. I finished this afternoon. I cried at least 4 times and feel very, very satisfied with the final installment.

Lacy and Dave Arrive

We've been having such fun having the Mayberry's with us. Little P could not be cuter. We spent Friday at Megan's wedding which was such fun.

Lowlight: Was after the wedding when heading down to shoot's to meet the fam for some lunch we got rear ended. Nothing serious except that I was in the back with P and not wearing a seat belt (what!?!?! I know i never do that. In fact I'm quite the seatbelt nazi!) I'm fairly certain that I have a small dose of whiplash as my neck is quite painful today.

Other than that small hiccup we are continuing on with the fun!

'arry Potter and other delights

So last night I forgot for a moment that I'm not 19 and that I am in fact 30. Mallory and Lexi called me up to inquire if I wanted to attend a midnight showing of "Order of the Phoenix". Obviously I'm not normally up at midnight, especially on a weeknight. But you know how I have a soft spot in my heart for Harry.

So around 9:30 p.m. last night Dana, Mallory, Lexi and I headed up to Sandy. Yes, sandy. Turns out there was not one seat to be had down here in Utah county. We arrived at the theater a little past 10 and to our chagrin found that Salt Lake County aren't quite the movie freaks that the Utah county is. We were pretty much the first people there. People didn't really start trickling in until about 11:30. Movie started at 12:20 we got home this morning around 3:30.

Obviously I didn't quite make it in to work on time. But oh was it worth it. I LOVED this movie. Dolores Umbridge was delightfully evil and it only served to fan my fire to find out how this whole fascinating saga will end.

My recommendation? Do race right out and see this movie!
